10 deviants said Please read and see if you can help: A plea for helpSo, some of you might remember that a while ago I mentioned that my camera wasn't doing so well. I somehow managed to fix a broken mirror all by myself because I couldn't afford to pay for service. It seems as though this time it's the complete end for my poor Nikon D80. My images started showing up with lines and either blown out of exposure or dark as hell. After much hassle and Internet research I think it's both the shutter curtain and some sensor malfunction. Called the Nikon service here, explained my problem and they said they're not completely sure but it might be both the sensor and the shutter and told me a complete fix, with diagnose, parts, work, postal and handling stuff would round up to something like $450-500.
At this point I realized I'd rather spend that money on a new camera...problem is...I don't have any money.
Now, to explain this properly: My folks had to leave the country to be able to pay for mortgage and other stuff, my college is quite expensive and demanding
