Introducing New Gallery Folders

Hello everybody,

due to popular request we have applied some changes to the gallery folders of our group:

"Landscapes, Flora and Fauna"

now is the place for all your nature photos, drawings or paintings.

"Urban and Street"

now is the place for all urban-related photography, drawings or paintings and for street photography,

while the former "Scapes, Urban and Rural" folder has been closed for submissions.

"Black and White Art Features"

Pretty much self-explanatory, isn't it? ^^

Please do always choose one of the themed folders for your submissions,

it helps us to keep the gallery organised.

Hello everybody,

I'm sorry for my absence, but nowadays life keeps me busier than usual. It's a weird mix of a heavy workload, staff reduction, and illness of workmates, and it seems as if it won't get better soon. So I do not only have less free time, I'm also rather exhausted after every single day at work.

I'm longing to watch and comment your work though, and I'll try to catch up with everything until the next weekend. I just want you to know that I'm still here.

Until then, I'll leave you with some very fine pieces of classical music. Enjoy!

Fun fact: Brian Eno (!) is ~~playing~~ trying to play the clarinet on these recordings.

A Brave Unbodied Scheme

*partiallyHere and *RichardLeach have announced their second book, A Brave Unbodied Scheme,

containing 27 images by Hanan and 26 poems by Richard, plus a poem by Hanan.

I'm pleased to see one of my collaborations with Hanan used for this book. It's "Loud Whisper",

made by Hanan back in 2011 for her "Di-a-Log" Series.

Self-promotion, and a sign of life

Belated happy New Year, everybody!

Hope everything's fine.

I've been a little bit off track lately,

you know, life can be so time-consuming.

So one of my New Year's Resolutions will be

trying to catch up with everything you have created in the meantime

and trying not to miss any of the roughly 2.500 messages in my inbox.

Also, breaking out of the loops...like every year!

In the meantime my image "Windows in the Sky"

has been chosen as one of the best of 2012

by *KizukiTamura and his watchers.

I'm honoured to see my work in very fine company.

BEST OF 2012Please don't be hurt. This is a subjective game.
However these images are part of my favorites for the year 2012.
