Hmm.. Can a person hide her tears, her feelings, her inner voice, from spilling out?
Can someone live throught a "happy mask" by all that time? How long so?
Crying by the inside out... From the inside out...
Guarding her tears, inner flood,
Sad clown, tough boy,
however, his heart is fragile as water...

This reminds me of The Cure's "Boys Don't Cry"... Very well done. You have my compliments. ^^

You have a point with the "Boys Don't Cry" reference. :)

I'd say, from personal experience, that it's not possible to hide behind a mask all life long, but only to a certain point. Leading a double life lets you crack up sooner or later. Better be honest, better be true from the beginning, show those emotions, shed those tears.
